Since I started practicing yoga I sleep better. The practice teaches me patience. This is the best exercise is the best for my A type personality. Nikki is the a wonderful teacher, it is easy to follow her instruction in class.
Having done yoga for almost six years with the same instructor, it was difficult to find a new teacher when I moved to the Waukesha area two years ago. Nikki was my fourth attempt and I instantly found my "namaste" again. Nikki's guidance through yoga brought my comfort level back in balance. I enjoy the manner in which she verbalizes the definitions of the yoga poses as well as explains what is happening to the physical body when we are doing our flows. My mind is always settled at the end of a session. Nikki also has the flexibility in guiding students who need special assistance, in which I did throughout my pregnancy. No matter if an individual is a beginner or expert, I strongly recommend Nikki as a yogi instructor. I'm so glad I found her.
What sets Nikki’s classes apart from other classes I have taken is the information and education that is presented. The poses all have purpose and origin. The poses can be modified. And the mantras can become a part of your everyday living. If I had to sum it up, there is a saying: "Peace…does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” That’s the gift Nikki’s yoga classes have given me.
I have never practiced a regular exercise activity in my life. My lifestyle has kept me somewhat fit. Three years ago my wife talked me into trying one of Nikki’s classes. I have been a regular student since then. I no longer have sporadic back trouble and am much stronger and more flexible than I have been in years.
